Analog Devices Inc. (ADI) recently opened a new advanced manufacturing facility in Thailand, expanding its manufacturing and test capacity in Asia-Pacific and supporting more resilient, sustainable semiconductor production.
The expansion is part of ADI’s hybrid manufacturing strategy, which combines internal factories with external foundry and outsourced semiconductor assembly and test partners.
Thailand is a key part of ADI’s global manufacturing network, helping the company add flexibility, scale and resilience to serve customers across multiple markets. The new site was designed as a smart and sustainable factory, using automation and digital manufacturing technologies to improve efficiency, environmental performance and responsiveness to demand.
“Thailand is one of the strategic hubs of ADI’s global manufacturing footprint,” said Vincent Roche, CEO and Chair at ADI in a press statement. “This expansion underscores our long-term commitment to Thailand and the region as key links in our ability to reliably and sustainably deliver our world-class technology. As our customers’ needs evolve, our investments ensure we can continue to deliver differentiated innovation at scale.”
“The new facility greatly enhances our ability to test operations efficiently and responsibly,” said Vivek Jain, Executive Vice President of Global Operations and Technology at ADI. “With strong engineering talent, supply chain advantages and an environment that supports long-term growth, Thailand is an essential part of how we build a more agile, resilient and future-ready manufacturing network.”
Established in 2000, Analog Devices Thailand is one of ADI’s major backend manufacturing sites, supporting industrial, automotive, communications, consumer and digital healthcare markets. The new facility adds cleanroom and manufacturing capacity for test, wafer-level processing, chip scale packaging and final IC test operations.
Located in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor, the site supports ADI’s global resilience strategy through greater geographic diversification and operational flexibility. Built in line with LEED standards, it is the first ADI manufacturing facility intended to achieve Platinum LEED certification. ADI said the site also supports its broader sustainability goals, including renewable electricity use, energy-efficient design, water recycling and real-time environmental monitoring.
The company said it is also investing in Thailand’s semiconductor talent pipeline through ADI Thailand Academy, university partnerships, internship programs and workforce development initiatives.
