Asia’s premier tech event, Asia Tech x Singapore 2025, officially kicked off today with a strong showing from Taiwan. The Commerce Development Research Institute (CDRI) and the National Center for High-Performance Computing (NCHC), part of Taiwan’s National Applied Research Laboratories, have teamed up with leading tech players ProMOS Technologies and 7A Drones to showcase cutting-edge smart applications powered by Distributed Data Service (DDS) architecture at Booth 4F1-4.
At the heart of the exhibition is a series of intelligent systems built on the DDS communication platform developed by NCHC. Combined with CDRI’s curatorial design and integration expertise, the show highlights Taiwan’s growing capabilities in deploying advanced technologies with real-world applications and global collaboration potential.
Key highlights include ProMOS multi-target synchronized tracking system, which leverages on low-latency, high-resilience DDS framework to enable real-time positioning for multiple users and devices—ideal for smart surveillance, emergency response, and border patrol operations.
7A Drones combine real-time video transmission and remote task management, allowing for flexible drone deployment. Their live demonstration showed the drones’ ability to fly independently and send video back in real time, which attracted interest and discussions from several international buyers.
This platform uses a decentralized structure and multiple layers of security to protect data. It is designed for future smart cities, smart transportation, and automated logistics, offering reliable solutions for secure data exchange. This highlights the strong capabilities of Taiwan’s smart technology applications.
According to CDRI, facilitating the deployment of domestic technologies and connecting them to international markets is central to its “Technology as Industry” initiative. Looking ahead, CDRI plans to continue bridging public and private sector technologies, scaling up participation in overseas exhibitions, and enhancing business matchmaking efforts to strengthen Taiwan’s visibility and competitiveness in the global smart technology value chain.
