Q. What is ESD ?
A. ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) is Static electricity . This energy is found in air surrounding us and can damage electronics components in a computer such as Harddisk drive, Floppy Disk drive , motherboard , CPU, memory modules etc.. ESD occurs when one touch an object that conduct electricity.

To protect your memory module from getting damage by ESD, always keep electronics components in AntiStatic packaging until ready to use.
